1. Verbal (adj) (-al = relating to, characteristic of): relating to words

My husband’s intrinsically verbal nature meant there were no awkward moments of silence when we first met. No siree.

2. Verbose (adj) (-ose = full of): full of words, talkative

Our children are often verbose when it’s least necessary. Guess who they get that tendency from?

3. Proverb (n) (pro- = before, forward): a wise saying

My husband considers much of what he says to be proverbial. Maybe he should start his own blog.
