As is tradition, I’m sharing some of my beach-themed ornament finds for 2013. This year, I haven’t perused the internet, but over the last few months, I’ve been picking up ornaments at various shops up and down the Carolina coast.
In these here parts, many of the national chains are stocked with beachy ornaments. My best finds among the nationals this year were at T.J. Maxx, where I purchased these four.
At a Wings store in North Carolina, I found this ornament with pictures of several North Carolina lighthouses. It’s almost chintzy, but it works.
This was another find at a local gift shop. I love the pearl peeking out.
On our recent Hunting Island camping escapade, I found a festive replica of their lighthouse in the lighthouse gift shop. I like picking out ornaments from places we’ve visited; it’s fun a way of reminiscing over trips without making a year-round commitment to doing so.
A trip to Charleston led me back to the Charleston City Market where I purchased my last Charleston ornament. I liked the first sand dollar ornament I showed you two years ago so much that I bought another one, this one with a picture of the South Carolina flag. This ornament is hand painted by Charleston native Ann Bates.
Yes, I’ve saved the best for last. For those of you who don’t know, my husband’s pseudonym “LCB†stands for Loquacious Cabana Boy because of his habitual acts of incessant talking and of serving me good food and drink at decidedly convenient moments. Yes, it’s a curious mix. So you can imagine my happiness when I found this ornament in a small island shop.
True, it left out the “loquacious†part of his title. But it kept the important part. 
I’m just catching up now with posts…., been on a bit of a blogging break. Love your ornaments…, and I WANT A CABANA BOY. But I guess, it’s going to be on next year list, haha. Happy New Year!!
