Well, better late than never, I guess. We finally got around to making some beach-themed Christmas ornaments on Thursday night. These were the ornaments I purchased the supplies for two weeks ago, right before The Big Nasty<\/a> struck. I bought some clear empty bulbs, and, to make it easy, a bag of tiny shells and a bag of sea glass. We have plenty of our own shells and sea glass coming out of every orifice of the house, of course, but I wanted to make sure we had enough pieces tiny enough to fit through the small openings at the tops of the bulbs.<\/p>\n

And, I was feeling lazy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>At any rate, the small people had fun filling their own bulbs, and we only broke one, so overall, I consider it a success.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, our regular Christmas tree is at the other house, and our only source of Christmas tree cheer at the moment is the pathetic-looking tree<\/a> that was sprawled out on our deck earlier this week. Oh, and there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only one small strand of lights that actually works on our Charlie Brown tree, which also didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have any other ornaments save the ones I showed you above. So, baby-girl got the great idea of collecting a bunch of shells with holes in them to use as ornaments for the tree. LCB took her to the store afterward, where she picked out some festive Santa ribbon to loop through the holes, and presto, we now have ornaments.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so nice having someone of the female persuasion in the house, because we all know the menfolk would never have come up with something like that. LCB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the guy that thinks it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s funny to announce every Thanksgiving that maybe we should make life easier on ourselves and just do away with decorations for this season, and then sits back and laughs while I pitch the predicted fit.<\/p>\n

Oh, and I have to show you my favorite picture of my daughter from last Christmas.<\/p>\n
