So, instead of swimming, we played catch with shells for a while, and then Baby-Girl made a fort using towels and the back of my chair. While she built, I read.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=4183\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4183\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-4183\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_1852-3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"697\" height=\"523\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_1852-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_1852-3-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_1852-3-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/IMG_1852-3-640x480.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px\" \/><\/a>Some time later, when I noticed how quiet she\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d grown, I turned around and found her reading underneath her now-completed fort.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m on page 147,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d she said, as if that explained things, and continued reading.
