I love this time of year for many reasons, not the least of which is that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time for the (6th<\/sup>) annual coastal Christmas ornaments post.<\/p>\n

This year, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve only purchased\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6one<\/em> coastal Christmas ornament. Basically, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve decided to lay off the whole \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m just buying these for the blog\u00e2\u20ac\u009d excuse while I inhale ornaments at an alarming rate. While this should speak to my character, it speaks instead to my thought that refraining this year will justify doubling my ornament purchasing next year.<\/p>\n

I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m only partially kidding.<\/p>\n

So I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll start with the one I have and then continue on with the ornaments I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve found online (in preparation for my buying binge next year).<\/p>\n

\"IMG_9879<\/a>Earlier this year, Baby-Girl and I went on a field trip<\/a> to Magnolia Plantation<\/a>. After telling her we were not buying anything at the gift shop<\/a>, I smeared the egg all over my own face by retracting my initial statement when I saw this ornament and remembered my blogging obligations.<\/p>\n

This is probably the other reason why I withheld from purchasing additional beach-themed ornaments this year; look at where I was headed?<\/p>\n

When I grow up, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to visit every craft store on the coast and then hunker down with Completely Coastal<\/a>, one of my favorite sites with lots of DIY ornament ideas. If you’re so inclined, start here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"NC<\/a>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve found two other ornaments that are significant because of their origins. This first one hails from North Carolina. I just love the idea of these. Sold by Our State<\/a><\/em>, a North Carolina magazine, these ornaments are made from the sand of one of four North Carolina beach areas (your choice): the Outer Banks, the Crystal Coast, the Wilmington Area, and the Brunswick Islands.<\/p>\n

\"Frosted_Palm_II-209x255\"<\/a>The place where these are made just speaks to me; they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re hand-painted in St. Thomas, one of my bucket list Caribbean islands. They can be shipped directly to you from Diane Artware<\/a>, so I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m picturing opening the box and inhaling a burst of that sweet Caribbean air alongside the ornament.<\/p>\n

\"oyster<\/a>These oyster shell ornaments with gold edges and aqua ribbon from CoastalCornucopia<\/a> come in sets of three.<\/p>\n

\"Blue<\/a>This Pier\u00c2\u00a01 Imports<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Adirondack beach chair ornament is a classic choice.<\/p>\n

\"Adirondack<\/a>Christmas Central<\/a> also has one with more embellishments.<\/p>\n

\"vintage<\/a>I love the vintage look of these ornaments from Seaside Inspired<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"beach<\/a>If you like a pop of color on your tree, check out these beach signs from Ocean Styles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"spiral<\/a>You really can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t go wrong with spiral shells with a little bling,<\/p>\n

\"sea<\/a>nor with a sea glass sand dollar ornament, both from Caron\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Beach House<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"sand<\/a>Why limit yourself to one sand dollar ornament, when you can have a sand dollar Christmas tree ornament from the aptly named caseashells.com<\/a>?<\/p>\n

\"beach<\/a>Christmas Mouse<\/a> has a couple of beach cottage sign ornaments. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d buy one of each if it weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t for the aforementioned hiatus on ornament purchases.<\/p>\n
