But we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re going to break with tradition for the first two ornaments.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3004\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3004\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3004\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9445-1024x802.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9445\" width=\"640\" height=\"501\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9445-1024x802.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9445-300x235.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>This one obviously has little to do with the beach. I actually picked it up at Wall Drugs last summer during our trip out West. But trust me, even island girls wear boots, <a title=\"Sharks And Cowgirls\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?p=1140\" target=\"_blank\">sometimes even on the beach<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3005\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3005\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3005\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9484-1024x846.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9484\" width=\"640\" height=\"528\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9484-1024x846.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9484-300x248.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>In other non-beachy news, Baby-Girl and I picked up this ornament at Macys in Chicago during our Thanksgiving trip up there. I like mementos of our trips, but I can only stand so many knick-knacks floating around my house, so ornaments are a good way of picking up something I won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be tripping over most of the time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3006\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3006\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3006\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9478-1024x749.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9478\" width=\"640\" height=\"468\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9478-1024x749.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9478-300x219.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>Interestingly, the Chicago Macys didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t really have any beachy ornaments. However, the Belk near our house had plenty of beach-themed ornaments, including these two.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3007\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3007\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3007\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9443-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9443\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9443-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9443-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>I found these at a little gift shop on our island earlier this year. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know who made them, but I like the white, almost distressed look to them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3008\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3008\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-3008\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9437-951x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9437\" width=\"640\" height=\"689\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9437-951x1024.jpg 951w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_9437-278x300.jpg 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>Another of our local gift shops carries this oyster shell Christmas ornament, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s available from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mud-pie.com\/p-4453-oyster-shell-ornamentset3-wreath-ball-tree.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Mud Pie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3012\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3012\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-3012\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/flame-surfboard-ornaments-9.gif\" alt=\"flame-surfboard-ornaments-9\" width=\"673\" height=\"969\" \/><\/a>While we have the surfboard, a beach icon, represented in other ways in and around our house, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have any surfboard ornaments on my tree. I thought these from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christmasinprescott.com\/214416.html\" target=\"_blank\">Christmas in Prescott<\/a> might be fun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3010\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3010\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-3010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/silver-sand-dollar.jpg\" alt=\"silver sand dollar\" width=\"648\" height=\"648\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/silver-sand-dollar.jpg 570w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/silver-sand-dollar-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/silver-sand-dollar-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/a>In the world of Etsy, I found these sand dollar ornaments. Look closely; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/84499014\/beach-decor-silver-sand-dollar-christmas?ref=shop_home_active_8\" target=\"_blank\">these CereusArt ornaments<\/a> are silver.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=3011\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3011\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-3011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/rope-knot-ornament.jpg\" alt=\"rope knot ornament\" width=\"651\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/rope-knot-ornament.jpg 570w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/rope-knot-ornament-278x300.jpg 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/><\/a>It also dawned on me that I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a rope knot anywhere in the house. Given all the other coastal items we call ours, I now think I need a rope knot ornament like this one from Etsy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/207550497\/nautical-rope-knot-ornament-with-red?ref=shop_home_active_22\" target=\"_blank\">SeashellCollection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, as soon as I finish grading my exams, I intend to return to tradition with <a title=\"Children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Christmas Books for 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?p=2616\" target=\"_blank\">my annual children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Christmas books post<\/a>.
