This year, I haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t perused the internet, but over the last few months, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been picking up ornaments at various shops up and down the Carolina coast.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2602\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2602\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2602\" alt=\"IMG_6506\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6506-1024x598.jpg\" width=\"638\" height=\"374\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6506-1024x598.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6506-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/a>In these here parts, many of the national chains are stocked with beachy ornaments. My best finds among the nationals this year were at <a href=\"http:\/\/tjmaxx.tjx.com\/store\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">T.J. Maxx<\/a>, where I purchased these four.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2603\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2603\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2603\" alt=\"IMG_6344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6344-720x1024.jpg\" width=\"637\" height=\"910\" \/><\/a>At a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wingsbeachwear.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wings<\/a> store in North Carolina, I found this ornament with pictures of several North Carolina lighthouses. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s almost chintzy, but it works.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2604\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2604\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2604\" alt=\"IMG_6347\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6347-1024x904.jpg\" width=\"637\" height=\"562\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6347-1024x904.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6347-300x265.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/a>This was another find at a local gift shop. I love the pearl peeking out.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2605\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2605\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2605\" alt=\"IMG_6533\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6533-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"637\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a>On our recent <a title=\"Camping on Hunting Island State Park: Part Four\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?p=2573\" target=\"_blank\">Hunting Island camping escapade<\/a>, I found a festive replica of their lighthouse in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southcarolinaparks.com\/huntingisland\/lighthouse.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">lighthouse gift shop<\/a>. I like picking out ornaments from places we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve visited; it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fun a way of reminiscing over trips without making a year-round commitment to doing so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2609\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2609\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2609\" alt=\"IMG_6515\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6515-949x1024.jpg\" width=\"639\" height=\"689\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6515-949x1024.jpg 949w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6515-278x300.jpg 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><\/a>A trip to Charleston led me back to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecharlestoncitymarket.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Charleston City Market<\/a> where I purchased my last Charleston ornament. I liked <a title=\"Carolina Beach-Themed Christmas Ornaments\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?p=815\" target=\"_blank\">the first sand dollar ornament I showed you two years ago so much<\/a> that I bought another one, this one with a picture of the South Carolina flag. This ornament is hand painted by Charleston native Ann Bates.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve saved the best for last. For those of you who don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, my husband\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pseudonym \u00e2\u20ac\u0153LCB\u00e2\u20ac\u009d stands for <a title=\"Greek #1\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?p=316\" target=\"_blank\">Loquacious<\/a> Cabana Boy because of his habitual acts of incessant talking and of serving me good food and drink at decidedly convenient moments. Yes, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a curious mix. So you can imagine my happiness when I found this ornament in a small island shop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2607\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2607\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-2607\" alt=\"IMG_6353\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_6353-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"637\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a>True, it left out the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153loquacious\u00e2\u20ac\u009d part of his title.
