Frankly, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m rarely this ambivalent or uninspired about anything.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <strong>Extraterrestrial<\/strong> (adj or n) (extra- = outside of): outside of the earth<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My middle child has told me twice now that he definitely does not believe that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">extraterrestrial<\/span> creatures are real. Both times, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s followed that announcement with this question: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Do you think most of them are green?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00c2\u00a0 <strong>Mediterranean Sea<\/strong> (n) (medi = middle): the sea in the middle of land, a specific sea bordering parts of Europe, Asia and Africa<\/p>\n<p>The parts of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mediterranean Sea<\/span> that I have seen are absolutely breathtaking. However, the swimwear, or the lack thereof by many of the occupants of the shoreline is a little distracting, at least for this small-town Carolina girl.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00c2\u00a0 <strong>Subterranean<\/strong> (adj) (sub- = below,      under): under the earth\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s surface<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My kids dream of building a subterranean city underneath the sand on the beach. This is not surprising, as they are the offspring of a woman who once not only talked about but actually tried to dig a hole to China in her mother\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s strawberry patch. I actually thought it was all about tenacity and digging on a curve so as to avoid being burned by the earth\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s core.
