Forgive my pictures: the light was quickly fading, the humidity kept my lens in a constant state of fog, and the photographer maintained her usual ineptitude. But you can see the water filling the better part of my neighbor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s yard, claiming land I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve yet to see it claim in the two years I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve lived on the salt marsh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2484\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2484\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2484\" alt=\"IMG_5839\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5839-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"636\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5839-1024x682.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5839-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a>As long as the sea doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t reach my house, however, you won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hear me protest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/?attachment_id=2485\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2485\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2485\" alt=\"IMG_5855\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5855-1024x577.jpg\" width=\"637\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5855-1024x577.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.anislandmom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_5855-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/a>Full moons and high tides bring with them a world reminiscent of that which once was, so very long ago, when seas were first gathered to make way for the land and all that it was destined to someday hold.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0***<\/p>\n<p>On an entirely different note, next on the agenda is an update that will include details on my newest teaching venture.
