This, by the way, was a rather fortuitous move from An Island Mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s standpoint as well. Otherwise, my blog would have been named who knows what and would have included all kinds of shots of my backyard in suburban Chicago, a backdrop complete with chain-link fence, mismatched landscaping, and the Tyvek HomeWrap of the neighbor behind us who decided to re-side his house and never quite got around to the finishing part. And there were no dolphins; the only water creatures we saw were a few goldfish that swam in our fish pond perpetually overridden with algae.<\/p>\n
Ah, good times, those were. But they weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t as picturesque.<\/p>\n

So, I searched for something with an island feel to it to give to one of you. Fortunately, in coastal Carolina, there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s no shortage of fun to be had in shops all up and down the coast, so this part was a breeze.<\/p>\n
